“Le sang d’encre”
Le sang d’encre is an atypical book, right between written and oral, vernacular and literary language. Poetical account, about writing, verbs, and sharing, and also about the foreigner, the travel, the elsewhere – and Algeria in an allusive way – but above all about the country of Somewhere Else. Nursery rhymes punctuate this narrative made of little intimate tales like topicalities that give to the “sang d’encre” energy, freshness, humor, and that offer a view-point peculiarly solemn and critical. Le Gris, Ophélie, Marjorie, Jasmine… are some characters belonging to an autobiography and a fiction in the same time.
The common theme has then the shape of a vein; it comes from the reality of the world, the days of the week and of their colours, still playing at riddles. In « Le sang d’encre » one can see the objective precision, the clearness and the knowledge of an academic, along with the extravagance and the exhilarating independence of mind of a woman of theatre. Music!…
Journal n°1 « Au Loup ! » 2004-2005
Is it the right amount? Is this tale good? Is the wolf as bad as we think? Both are transformists. The author caresses some poetical metamorphosis, where the key-notes are theatre and Armand Gatti. Learn more (excerpts)…
This journal is translated into Occitan by Felip Hammel and into German by Pierre Morel
Journal n°2 « D’Eux ! » 2005-2006
The author goes on caressing a poetical metamorphosis, thus reviving the tradition of illustrated journals. White corpuscles are numerous.
The author tales his wolf corpuscles. In a second journal from “Douze règlements de contes pour adultes”, she goes on making her visual artist Sabine Audouin follow the traces of “D’Eux”.
Work with a preface written by Gilles Moraton
This opportunity for a dedication to Bartabas and to the rocking horse is the start of a cavalcade, “a Stagecoach” amazingly visual and echoing of portraits, between delicacy and excessiveness. Just like announcement to life to death, they are an extolling of injured persons.
Under the title uttered like a promise given to the Subject, the portrait gets out of the prison of individuals and enters in a powerful solidarity. And in order to finish the circuit of the ring, the book deals once again with the figure-head of an infrangible crook: Bartabas.
Céline Garcia’s texts and Christian Jardi’s photographs, which are coupled together, create a captivating poetical and theatrical game.
